SEBD 2003 CALL FOR PAPERS: msg#00100db.dbworld
SEBD 2003 Eleventh Italian Symposium on Advanced Database Systems Cetraro (CS), Italy, June 24-27, 2003 http://sebd2003.cs.icar.cnr.it/sebd03/ The 2003 edition of the SEBD Symposium will take place at the hotel San Michele of Cetraro, Italy, from the 24th to the 27th of June 2003. Currently at its eleventh edition, SEBD is the major annual event of the Italian research community in the database field. The symposium is thought as a gathering forum to meet, discuss and exchange experiences among all those, both in the academy and in industry, who are interested in database systems and in all their broad range of applications. Topics The conference covers a broad range of topics, including traditional database management, as well as new challenges for data management in any possible domain. Prospective authors are encouraged to consider novel topics and approaches rather than proposing incremental improvements of existing results. Tutorial Maurizio Lenzerini - University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy "DATABASE INTEGRATION" Piero Fraternali - Politechnic of Milano, Italy "WEB APPLICATIONS, WEB SERVICES, AND WORKFLOW CONCEPTUAL MODELLING" Papers SEBD 2003 invites submissions of research, industry and application contributions as well as software demonstrations. Research papers, describing original ideas on the fundamental aspects of all forms of database systems and technology, are solicited. Moreover, extended abstract containing descriptions of on-going projects or presenting results already published are also welcome. Research papers presenting original works should be at most 12 pages long whereas extended abstract should be at most 8 pages long. Proceedings Accepted papers, invited papers and extended abstracts will be published by Rubbettino Editore in the proceedings of the conference. Submission Instructions SEBD 2003 submissions generally must be in electronic form using the Portable Document Format (pdf) or the Postscipt format (ps). Papers must be submitted electronically using the conference management tool. Papers must be formatted using the Lecture Notes in Computer Science style.
