9th International Workshop on Multimedia Information Systems (MIS-2003) Ischia, Italy May 26-28, 2003 Conference URL: http://www.mis2003.unina.it CALL FOR PAPERS The 9th International Workshop on Multimedia Information Systems (MIS'03) will be held on the island of Ischia in Italy. The primary goal of the workshop is to report on cutting edge research across all areas of multimedia systems so that researchers in different areas of multimedia information systems know (and are influenced by) researchers in other areas. Specific topics include (but are not limited to): Multimedia databases Network and OS support for multimedia Quality of Service Multimedia presentations Multimedia servers Data structures for Multimedia XML and Multimedia Image and Video algorithms Multimedia Interfaces Reasoning with Multimedia data Multimedia data fusion Applications PAPER FORMAT: Please submit an extended abstract of length 10 pages or less with at least 11 point font. Margins should be at least one inch on all sides. Papers must be in PDF format only. DEADLINES: Receipt of extended abstracts: Feb. 22, 2003. Notification of acceptance/rejection: March 28, 2003 Submission of camera ready manuscript: April 20, 2003 WHERE TO SUBMIT: Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
