In industrialised countries we can observe the shifting to global markets, which chance the nature of work and of workforce itself. The most successful enterprises in this new "world" will be those who recognise the importance of knowledge management and investigate time and money in this new and very important field. Knowledge Management is a field which must be investigated by academic researchers together with developers and users from the industry and public administration. Therefore researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers to the TAKMA 2003 workshop.
