for a special issue of the French Academic Journal
on Information Systems (Ingénierie des Systèmes d'Information).

Special issue: Health Information Systems (Systèmes d'Information de Santé).


Scope
The health information systems cover a broad domain, from 
the capture of medical information to the treatment of this
information. Information systems are involved in medical applications
 such as telemedicine, health network, electronic patient record systems,
on-line medical education, virtual hospitals, etc. Added to that,
 the patient becomes the centre of the information system and 
his role is enhanced in the care process. Many scientific researches deal
 with medical information systems using complex concepts and 
information technologies. The special issue of ISI tries to cover a wide range 
of perspectives in this domain.

We invite the authors to submit papers that address the themes described below.

Topics of interest
1. Management of medical data in medical data grids
2. Dynamic interfaces for the capture and the restitution of medical information
3. Interoperability of medical systems
4. Indexation and retrieval of multimedia medical documents
5. Medical data warehouses
6. Ambient and pervasive medical information systems
7. Security and quality in medical information systems
8. Medical ontologies, corpus and terminologies
9. Medical-economic aspects in medical information systems
10. Diagnosis aids and patient follow-up

Submission guidelines
Authors are invited to submit research contributions representing original, 
previously unpublished works. Papers must be written in French or in English
 for non-French speakers. Papers should not exceed 5 000 words in length and 
must be formatted using the Hermes editor style: http://www.hermes-science.com
Referees will consider originality, significance, technical soundness 
and clarity of exposition.
