Laurie, my first E-mail was full of bad advise. I thought a NUL was a hex 255. My bad. I created the attached NULL.TXT file in a hex editor (EditPad Pro). It's a one byte file containing nothing but a hex 00. Hopefully you can either open and copy this file's contents or import it into DataPerfect to get a usable NUL character. One potential caution ... NULs are used as string termination characters in several programming languages. There could be an issue using it as data if a NUL is a reserved character in DataPerfect (or in Forth which I think DataPerfect is programmed in).
