Hi Jon,

Glad to have saved you some work! WordPerfect Works Shell looks like Shell 3.1, although it defaults to white text on a blue background, but it has mouse support. I'm not sure who now owns it or where you can get a copy.

Thanks Michael, guess I had some misperceptions about DPmouse -- what a relief it is to stay with the old shell macros!  I'll get working on DPmouse now.
So...doesn't seem like there's much to be gained using Shell 4.0 (which is Wordperfect Works Shell?) since shell menu selections are easier with a keyboard for most.

Hi Jon,

Further to my last post, DPMouse works with DataPerfect not strictly with Shell. You CAN run DP application with DPMouse under Shell 3.1 but you won't be able to use a mouse to select the Shell menu item. The mouse selection on items in the WordPerfect Works shell and Shell 4 are to do with their own mouse support and nothing to do with DPMouse.

Hi everyone:

Can anyone give me some info on shell 4.0?  I looked at this 10 yr ago and decided it was so much trouble converting my 1000 or so global macros that it wasn't worth the trouble.  Now, I'm finally trying to convert all my DP apps over to WinXp and wanted to use DPmouse (which I believe requires shell 4.0).  I finally got DPspool working right which was a major hurdle to this conversion.

Is the macro editing language a lot different with shell 4.0?  Any way of converting shell 3.1 macros easily?

Thanks to all in advance!
