Re: Excluding a record: msg#00011db.dataperfect.general
Hi Charlie, Yes it will work with child records. From your description, there is only one child record with mailing categories. If that is correct, are they individual fields, toggle on/off? If my assumptions are correct, then in the search formula screen, F4 will get you to the parent panel, move to the link to child panel, F5, then move to "E" field, F4. Then the formula would be something like this: P1F16P2F6 = "X" F10 to save, then select "2 - Exclude those records that satisfy the search." You could also use a case statement in an rv, then skip if rv is zero. Rich At 11:32 AM 9/18/2007, you wrote: Thanks Rich. I use that to exclude records based on other parameters in the main parent record, but I don't think it will work when a child record is involved. But I might be wrong._______________________________________________ Dataperf mailing list Dataperf-Ii8YPGKeNuMyuW1uK6fEew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.dataperfect.nl/mailman/listinfo/dataperf
