Carob: ASL-licensed ODBC driver coming: msg#00011db.carob.general
Emmanuel Cecchet of C-JDBC fame from the ApacheCon US 2004 Derby code contest (he won first place) says that they forked the C-JDBC code into a new project called Sequoia (sequoia.continuent.org -- yeah, I already razzed him about Derby not showing up on the front page), which is under the ASL. They are adding an ODBC driver ("Carob") on top of Sequoia, which he thought would be in beta in mid-January 2006 and perhaps generally available sometime in February 2006. For more information, see carob.continuent.org. regards, -jean
