As a part of the Eclipse Communication Framework, Eclipse Ganymede has
an IRC (and Jabber/GTalk, MSN...) client, so we'll have that when the
Eclipse integration is ready :-)

Or maybe one day even into a help tab within the application itself.
This would be a concept I've never come across anywhere else before, but
I can see potential for it being very valuable to the users (an
application with built-in instant technical support).

Re: [argouml-dev] "As diagram" tab
I'd love to see the "As Diagram" tab go away. It takes up quite a bit of room under Mac OS X.BrianOn Tue, Jul 15, 2008 at 5:45 AM, Thomas N. <thn-d@xxxxxx> wrote:
Hi,
ok then we just keep it, no problem with that.
(I was thinking of a simple solution in MultiEditorPane.java, like changing "add(tabs, BorderLayout.CENTER);" into "add(tabPanels.get(0), BorderLayout.CENTER);", until the tabs are really used. They are still there, but not displayed. I saw that the tab text need to be i18n-ized anyway, maybe the tabs will be used without a starting "As ", probably for different diagrams, whatever your ideas was here.)

Or maybe one day even into a help tab within the application itself.
This would be a concept I've never come across anywhere else before, but
I can see potential for it being very valuable to the users (an
application with built-in instant technical support).

Re: [argouml-dev] Plan (was: [argouml-dev] new screenshot for 0.26)
Hi Linus,
I finished work on the support page, so that you can go ahead and announce it
in a news item and in a mail to the users mailing list, as you said. Here is a
proposal, feel free to change or replace it:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subject: New support page, new support channels
Hi,
the project team proudly announces a new support page. It contains links and
information about the available support channels. You can find the already
known issue tracking system (issuezilla) and the users mailing list, but also
new possibilities: a forum, a wiki and even a chatroom (irc channel). All
these already went alive and are fully available!
The support page is available:
- in the left hand menu of all project web pages
(http://argouml.tigris.org/support.html)
- inside the ArgoUML application, if internet is reachable
(Help -> Help F1, then the Support tab in the opening dialog box)
Have a look and enjoy!
The ArgoUML project team
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, here is my progress status:
> 1. 100%
> 2. 100%
> 3. 100%
> 4. 80% (we gathered new features recently)
> 5. 80% (need to be sent)
Item 4 will be done when 0.26 is released, OK?
Regards,
Thomas
