Subject: RE: [argouml-dev] Project compiler settings (was The plan for the 0.23.3 release)

Hello Tom!

I agree that consensus is the way to go here. I hope that you have
noticed in my proposed role description that the consensus approach is
possible to implement for this. If you want to formulate it differently
to emphasize that that would probably improve things further.

The problem has been that when I propose things my role as controller
and interpreter of the discussion kills it. This means that consensus
under my control is not working. You have several times expressed your
discontent with this.

As I see it, this is not for your CV, the purpose is to allow us to have
a more efficient discussion which will allow us to arrive at a better
result. The only way to achieve this is to have someone else monitoring
this discussion.

Withdrawing the proposal because I have not understood and you are tired
of explaining it is a consequence my role in this. As you are in control
of the discussion you can instead go ahead anyway. The fact that a
single one of the involved persons have not understood is not a problem.
As soon as you have considered that we have consensus about this, go
ahead!

/Linus
