406 Scorchers: msg#00193culture.transportation.humanpowered.trikes
Delayed, there was thread on BROL dicussing problems with bead size, the kevlar belted version, and problems with using No Tubes system. An update should be in next Greenspeed newsletter. The bottom line was Scorchers are grippy hi-performance low rolling resistance tires worth using for ride, speed, cornering and speed. Some people got flats from goatheads other things. See tire review on BROL. I'm running the 16 in ones with tubes at 60-75 psi with no problems, but I did just today after 700+ miles bought a spare to carry on trike as I have no cell phone, but lot's of other bent's around here alway's stop or ask if your OK if you look like your adjusting your trike. Today's ride showed 3 trikes, 10-12 other bents and probably an equal no. of roadie DF's. A LBS in Inverness, Fl is now 1/2 Bent with Sun and Ran's, and of course there is Hampton's Edge where I got my EZ-1, Catrike, and t he tire today.
