Mike Dobbin's production of THE SPEED OF DARKNESS

Yesterday Priscilla and I went to Normal to review a production of Steve Tesich's The Speed of Darkness for Jenny Southlynn and her Pamphlet.  The production, directed by Mike Dobbins, was excellent.  I highly recommend it.  You can read my review by going to www.pamphletpress.org and clicking on "Theatre Reviews."  For those of you who are not familiar with the Heartland Theatre Company in Normal, you should take them in.  They have a tiny (60 seat) black box theatre on what used to be the old Normal Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's School in the northeast corner of Normal, IL.  That's about an hour and fifteen minutes from C-U, and even at today's current obscene cost of gasoline, it is well worth the trip.  I've been covering their production s for the past three years and have seen some of the best theatre in the area up there.
