Rantoul Theatre Group Selects Cast

The Rantoul Theatre Group has chosen its cast for its new Spring
family show stage production of "Charlotte's Web" which will open on
May 5 at the Grissom Hall Theatre at 914 Arends Blvd. Five more
performances are set for May 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14. Evening
performances start at 8:00 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.

Heading the cast of 36 is Tahalia Rusley as Charlotte, Tyler Knowles
as Wilbur, and Taylor Lykins as Fern. Animal characters are; Miranda
Clampitt, Aleah Combs, Kayla Ferran, Maia Gersten, Nicole Griffith,
Alisa Greene, Jennifer Ivy, Taylor Knowles, Brendan Remington,
Jennifer Schlueter, Claire Stoller, Jeri Stoller, Ashley Walp, and
Amber Wood. Human characters are; Abby Bergman, Erin Croft, Tara
Ferguson, Rheanna Jones, Gina Lykins, Lincoln Machula, Brittani
Miller, Abigail Myers, Tyler Myers, Tracy Cooper-Nelson, Sara Orr,
Breona Rix, Doug Rokke, Scott Stoller, Robin Stoller, John Tilford,
Marissa Trefren, Natasha Trefren, and Kevin Williams. The play is
directed by Larry Smith.

Joseph Robinette's play version of "Charlotte's Web" closely parallels
author E. B. White's book and the cartoon movie. John Arable's
daughter, Fern, pleads with her father to save the runt pig, "Wilbur."
When Wilbur grows too big he's sold to Uncle Homer Zuckerman to keep
on his farm. Wilbur is lonely and needs a friend. The barnyard
animals educate Wilbur to the reality of his pending visit to the
slaughterhouse. But, Charlotte, a kindly spider, befriends Wilbur and
vows to save his life by making Wilbur so popular that no one would
wish to make bacon and ham out of him! Wilbur learns that good
friends are a blessing in life. The play is suitable for families and
young children. This is the only RTG show of the 2006 season with
child actors in the cast.

The Rantoul Theatre Group has 190 seats and free parking. Ticket
prices are: $10 adults and $7 seniors/children/students. Cash or
checks accepted. Reservations may be made by calling 892-1121 to
leave information on the answer machine. Patrons can visit the
website at www.rtgonline.org for further information about the play
and RTG schedule for 2006. Thank you.
