Subject: Rantoul and Die

I also read what was on the blog, and am disappointed in this man's
opinion. That is what we all have to remember it is only one man's
opinion. As we all know they are like azzholes everyone has one.
I am not up to date on all of Mark's work, but knowing him when I
was young he was not one that made fun of others in a hurtful way.
Obviously alot of people enjoyed his play. He as well as others
should remember this. If this gentleman thinks he can do better
than by all means write a play and let's see what happens.

Mark wrote this play at a bad time in his life. This is only a
guess, but it could have been written in a different context to let
his pain out in laughter. People sometimes take things in a
personal way when it has absolutely nothing to do with how their
mind is running. Here is an example ever go to the movies and it is
a very funny movie but yet your mind is not on the punch lines and
the way that it is written. So you do not find it funny. An you
might see the same movie at a later time and find you couldn't stop
laughing. At a and this is another guess maybe this gentleman
didn't come ready
for the humor and drama of this play and did not take away the full
enjoyment as so many others. I would suggest he see it when he
might be having a good day.

I have know doubts that Mark's work has something to do with his own
life in one way or another. Maybe I am being niave in my thinking.
How can you not write something as a play or a book and not have
something in your life or mood of that time come out.

So for all the critics, or for those that think that they are
critics. Maybe you should stand back and take another look before
you tear someone's work apart.

As for you Mark. You have accomplished alot in your lifetime and
you have alot more in you. So as an opptimist remember there are
alot and I mean alot of us that have enjoyed your work over the
years. We look forward to alot more of them. Keep up the great
work and enjoy what you do. An I look forward to seeing your next
work whatever form it may be in.
