Latin American Media Position

The Department of Communication at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana 
seeks applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor in Latin 
American Media Industries.  The one-year position has the potential to become 
tenure-track.  The applicant?s expertise should include, but not be limited to, 
the following subject areas:  Latin American journalism and journalistic 
practices; global media industries and news with a focus on Latin American 
contexts; comparative and cross-cultural or historical studies of different 
Latin American media institutions and audiences.  

Applicants should expect to teach general or introductory journalism and news 
courses as well as more advanced courses in their own areas of expertise and to 
participate in Tulane?s interdisciplinary Latin American Studies Program.
