New Media Research Methodologies: msg#00104culture.studies.general
I'm in the process of writing a proposal for a detailed historical/critical research project on new media in a specific geographic location. I am looking for methodological approaches I might refer to in this proposal - as direct quotations or general ideas with which to contrast and compare. These could be actual essays concerning research practice in new media or more general discussions of approaches to research on visual materials. This project will be based in an Asian city so essays, quotes, and so on that refer to sites of production outside Europe/North America might be particularly useful. Coincidentally, the Said quote (from Culture and Imperialism) found in a recent CFP here was quite useful. Thanks, Norman Jackson Ford
