Subject: RE: Visiting the mall

Jon Goss has a number of articles on malls -- "Once Upon a Time in the
Commodity World: An Unofficial Guide to the Mall of America," Annals
of the Assoc of American Geographers, 89:45-75 (1999) and "The Magic of
the Mall: Form and Function in the Retail Built Environment," Annals of
the Assoc of American Geographers, 83:18-47, could both be useful for
students in terms of how they might think about the landscape, commodity
aesthetics, and politics of malls.
