Re: Visiting the mall: msg#00082culture.studies.general
Fred, My qualitative graduate methods seminar is run through a series of methods-based assignments that deal with the mall. It might be interesting to get our students in touch with each other regarding their approaches and findings. The reading for my class is heavy on method and light on cultural analysis as I try to allow them to approach the mall first and then read-back to others' analysis later. However, if you'd like to contact me personally, I can send my syllabus with the various writing assignments. I'm also going to send your email along to my students and it's possible they could share their work with your students and vice-versa.
