Re:God and Cultural Studies: msg#00067culture.studies.general
Apologies (if necessary) for the continued Christian emphasis, but three suggestions: Catherine Keller, _Apocalypse Now and Then, A Feminist Guide to the End of the World_ Katherine Tanner, _Theories of Culture, A New Agenda for Theology_ The "Radical Orthodoxy" group; two to look at: John Milbank, _Theology and Social Theory, Beyond Secular Reason, and _Radical Orthodoxy_ (This last offered with a bit of hesitation; for the most part, these folks first offer an interesting reading of contemporary critical theories, arguing that Christianity, as Religion, is the excluded other of contemproary crit theory, but then they offer the, um, 'difficult' proposal that Christian theology is the only adequate theoretical position for theory today.) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
