Gayle Wald also has a suitable piece in the new collection Rock Over the Edge,
edited by Roger Beebe et al and published by Duke U Press. In fact this whole
collection is top drawer.

Subject: [cultstud-l] riot grrls

Hello all:

I'm looking for a scholarly article suitable for a 3rd year media course
that discusses the "riot grrl" phenomenon in music (eg Bikini Kill),
particularly in terms of feminist politics and/or representations of
gender in pop. culture/music.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Rhiannon
