Independent Rock" by Joanne Gottleib and Gayle Wald. I believe it is in Ross
and Rose's "Microphone Fiends" edition. tk

I'm looking for a scholarly article suitable for a 3rd year media course
that discusses the "riot grrl" phenomenon in music (eg Bikini Kill),
particularly in terms of feminist politics and/or  representations of
gender in pop. culture/music.
