Re: studies of public sphere and radical democracy?: msg#00050culture.studies.general
a good book for collective action/social movement by the founder of the study of 'new social movements' arena Melucci is Challenging Codes. However, what i taught with those two books which i think fit extremely well was Ulrich Beck's Democracy without Enemies which deals with the extent of democracy and democratization in everyday life from many angles, job, family, individualization, etc. On Sunday, October 20, 2002, at 07:55 PM, Ranu Samantrai wrote: I'm teaching Habermas's _Structural Transformation of the Public Sphere_jeremy hunsinger jhuns@xxxxxx on the ibook www.cddc.vt.edu www.cddc.vt.edu/jeremy () ascii ribbon campaign - against html mail /\ - against microsoft attachments --- You are currently subscribed to cultstud-l as: gcsg-cultstud-l@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to leave-cultstud-l-144941Q@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The FAQ: http://www.cas.usf.edu/communication/rodman/cultstud/faq.html |
