Two articles I've used for teaching 'anti-advertising' are:

Pasi Falk, "The Benneton-Toscani Effect: Testing the Limits of 
Conventional Advertising"in Buy This Book: Studies in Advertising and 
Consumption, Mica Nava, Andrew Blake, Iain MacRury and Barry 
Richards, eds., New York: Routledge, 1997, pp.64-86.

Robert Goldman, Stephen Papson, "Yo! Hailing the Alienated Spectator" 
in Sign Wars: The Cluttered Landscape of Advertising, New York: 
Guilford Press, 1996, pp.83-112.

Naomi Klein has a chapter on culture-jamming in No Logo and you might 
look at the website: http://www.subvertise.org for more examples of 
'anti-advertising' strategies and campaigns.

Matt Soar has written on Adbusters:
