Subject: Request for Help

Howdy all. This list has been extremely helpful in the past and I'm hoping you
all will be willing to lend your help once again.

I am currently teaching a class in media analysis. We are working on Marxist
analysis this week and the samples of Marxist critiques of different media I'm
using don't seem to be resonating with my students. I am hoping that you can
suggest samples of marxist analysis that are accessable to 1st and 2nd year
students without much critical background. Also, if you could suggest media
texts (films, current or easily accessible tv shows, songs, art works, etc.)
that really lend themselves to easy, yet informed, marxist analysis I would
really appreciate it. FYI, the text the class is using is Berger's _Media
Analysis Techniques_.
