In a laboratorium, an old proffesor was holding a glass, within it is yellow liquid. "This is a urine sample from a diabetes patient," said the old teacher to all the students around him. When everybody's eyes were fixed to the glass of yellow water, he said while laughing, "Taste it a bit! Is it really sweet?" They looked unbelievably at one another, thinking that the teacher must be joking. Very unexpectedly, he dipped his index finger to the yellow water and tasted it. A moment later, he said, "As it is named, it is really sweet like candy! Come, every body can prove it by themselves!." Even the old teacher dared to try, why would not we youngster? That was what they thought. One by one they took turn tasting it. Everybody ended saying that it is really sweet.
The old teacher laughed and laughed at his students, "In learning, especially in such field where it concerns human life and death, we can not afford to be careless. We must re-examine very carefully and be cautious in making analysis so that fatal error shall not appear. Just a while ago, i used my middle finger to taste the yellow water, which in fact, the index finger was the one that i used to dip into the yellow water. I see that all of you didn't observe careful enough. (Everyone was shocked). Lucky for you all, this yellow water is not urine, but simply is a sugared water. Next time you all have to be more careful!"

Di dalam laboratorium, seorang dosen tua sedang memegang sebuah gelas yang berisikan air yang berwarna kuning. "Ini adalah air seni seorang pasien penderita diabetes," kata sang dosen kepada segenap mahasiswa yang sedang mengelilinginya.Ketika semuanya memperhatikan air kencing yang berada di dalam gelas itu, dosen tersebut berkata sambil tertawa, "Cobalah dicicipi! Apakah memang manis?"Mereka semuanya saling menatap. Mengira dosen itu sedang bergurau. Akan tetapi sungguh tak mereka duga, dosen itu tiba-tiba memasukkan jari telunjuknya kedalam gelas itu kemudian mencicipinya. Sejenak kemudian, dia berkata, "Tak salah. Memang manis! Ayo, setiap orang boleh mencicipinya."Dosen saja berani mencicipinya, mengapa kami sebagai mahasiswa tak berani? Begitulah pikiran mereka. Lantas satu persatu mulai mencicipinya. Ternyata semua berkata sungguh manis sekali.Dosen tua itu tertawa terbahak-bahak melihat mahasiwanya, "Di dalam menuntut ilmu terlebih-lebih ilmu kedokteran yang menyangkut nyawa manusia, tidak boleh bersikap sembrono. Kita harus memeriksa dengan teliti sekali dan hati-hati di dalam membuat analisa agar jangan sampai timbul kesalahan karena bisa berakibat fatal. Tadi saya menggunakan jari tengah untuk mencicipi air seni itu, padahal sebenarnya jari telunjuklah yang kena air seni itu. Ternyata kalian tidak memperhatikan dengan baik. (Semuanya terperangah). Tapi untung ini bukan air seni, melainkan benar-benar air gula. Lain kali kalian harus lebih hati-hati!"
