Subject: Need Recommendation for HDMI cable. - msg#00106
List: culture.region.usa.austin.cable
Okay, I finally bought an HDTV and traded my 8300 for an 8300HD today.
Now I need to know what kind of HDMI cable I should get that will work
best with the 8300HD and my TV. It's a Sony KDL 40V2500, if that makes
any difference. I read that the 8300HD won't work over HDMI with the
Westinghouse HDTVs, but I'm fairly certain that the Sony will.
I found a Belkin Pure AV HDMI cable, 8' long, shielded, and gold plated
for $49. TW sells the ones it makes for $45. Are there still problems
using HDMI with the 8300HD? Would component be just as good or better?
If HDMI is the way to go, I know I don't need to buy a Monster cable,
but I would like to know what everyone else is using and whether you
are pleased with the results. Any thoughts on the Belkin?
Many thanks!
Linda
