Producers Guild calls for ban against Shakti   
 Mumbai, Mar 14: The Film and TV Producers` Guild today called for a ban 
against actor Shakti Kapoor, condemning the "slanderous, mischievous and 
unsubstantiated aspersions" cast by the actor against several Bollywood 
personalities. 

"The guild is advising its members not to engage Shakti Kapoor in any work in 
any of their productions", it said in a statement here. 

Denying the allegations made by Kapoor that many Bollywood personalities were 
engaged in "casting couch", the guild said, Kapoor has been "completely 
irresponsible in his behaviour and utterances and must publicly apologise to 
all those whom he has insulted and slandered." 

"The Guild would like to clarify to all concerned that all its members who 
represent the cream of the entertainment industry, have always stood for the 
highest moral, ethical and professional values and have been the fountainhead 
of the growth of this vibrant industry", it said. 

Kapoor had during a sting operation by a TV channel alleged that Bollywood 
personalities including Subhash Ghai and the late Yash Johar were indulging in 
"casting-couch". 

The TV programme had claimed to have blown the lid off Bollywood by secretly 
filming Kapoor purportedly asking for sexual favours from a woman.
