Asian media conference calls for papers and participants

Journalists and media experts have until March 31 to submit papers for an annual conference on Asian media. The event is scheduled for July 17 to 20 in Penang, Malaysia.

The Asian Media Information and Communication Center (AMIC) is organizing the 15th annual conference in partnership with the Universiti Sains Malaysia. This year's theme: "Media in Asia: Aspirations, Choices and Realities."

The conference aims to review and examine whether the media have helped fulfill the aspirations of audiences, while considering the perspectives of people who work for the media. The agenda includes keynote addresses, plenary sessions, and several parallel sessions. It also offers networking opportunities, cultural programs and some field visits.
