TRAVEL bosses say Goa in India is the world's best value holiday
destination - while Barbados is the most expensive.



The survey for travel agent Lunn Poly found that a beer costs just 20p in
Goa compared with £2.36 in Barbados, while a mineral water was 15p in Goa
but £1.51 in the Caribbean hideaway.



For short-haul breaks, Bulgaria was the least expensive - a three course
meal with wine costing around £5.58 compared with £14.43 in Majorca.



John McEwan of Lunn Poly said: "Being aware of the cost of living on holiday
helps travellers make an informed decision about which resort suits their
holiday habits."
