Yet again the Goa Government plans to distribute
FREE WATER CONNECTIONS
and never mind the present water shortage.
This time 3450 connections to individual houses
at the tax payers cost
of Rupees One Crore thirty five lakhs forty three thousand
four hundred and eighty three only. ( Rs. 1,35,43,483 )
Each water connection will cost approximately Rs.3925/-
Citizens need to think about this move in the light
of the PWD unable to fulfill its responsibilities of supplying water
to its existing commercial and domestic consumers.
