Just to clarify, since a letter came up on this issue:

(1) If you ever get *dropped* off Goanet / Goanet-Digest or Goanet-news,
it probably means that your mailbox was temporarily not working. Mailboxes
that reject mail for a few times are automatically shifted to the
'no-mail' option.

(2) This is not an "unresolved glitch". It is an inbuilt feature of
Mailman, the fairly interesting Free Software mailing-list manager we use
to run this list. After all, it makes sense that non-functioning
addresses should stop getting mail... and readers interested in
restarting the mail should write back and intimate. This is a feature to
ensure that mail load on the server is minimised, and copies don't have
to be sent to hundreds of dead addresses.

(3) So, in case any of our valued members get suddenly dropped off the
list, you know how to get back on. Just contact the admin team.

(4) Mailman also allows for non-members to the list to post. These will be
approved for circulation, subject the same being on-topic. FN
