---------------------------------------------------------- Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/goa-net/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goanet2003/ ---------------------------------------------------------- Hi Vikram Read your email sent to all at goanet. Am particularly interested in your publications because i currently work as a clinical psychologist in Australia and find your articles fairly interesting. However i have not been able to access/read any as yet, as i am not a subscriber to any of the journals they seem to be published in. In fact it may also be i am a novice surfing the net!. If it is possible i would definitely love to read your work. Is there a simple way to do so? Look forward to hearing from you Pearl ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vikram Patel" <vikpat-0VrrOzQoB60xpvK4C0GaPQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <goanet-fkB0aodkGtPQT0dZR+AlfA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, January 19, 2003 4:23 PM Subject: [GOANET] new publications > ---------------------------------------------------------- > Archives: > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/goa-net/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goanet2003/ > ---------------------------------------------------------- > > Dear friends > > I am emailing to update you on a number of publications arising from > our work on mental disorders in India published this month which may > be of relevance to public health aspects of mental disorders in > other parts of India and other developing countries. > > First is an article in the January issue of the Archives of Disease > in Childhood demonstrating the relationship between maternal > depression and infant growth and development. > > Second is an article in the January 4th issue of the Lancet > demonstrating the superior efficacy and cost-effectiveness of > antidepressants for the treatment of common mental disorders in > general health care. > > Third is an article in the January issue of the British Journal of > Psychiatry describing an evaluation of a community based > rehabilitation program for schizophrenia in a rural region of India. > > Finally, I am pleased to share that my book 'Where There Is No > Psychiatrist', targeted to community and general health workers in > developing countries and remote regions of the world, is being > released this month by Gaskell Press of the Royal College of > Psychiatrists.
