As we come to the end of this Year  , let us take some
time from our busy life , take time to thank  our Goan
brothersand sisters for their efforts in making our Goan
world a better place to be in.

Let us also take some time to  look forward to the
coming year , 2003.

To begin with , let me thank all those who helped
to make this Goan Forum , the Goanet ,what it is TODAY.

Lets thank each and every one one on the  Goanet admin team ,
( Herman , Viviana and Fred ) thanks to their efforts and their
strict maintainance of discipline on this forum that it is what it is
today -

Its RESPECT  that we have learnt .... respect for one another that
has brought more respect into our Goan Communities
all over the world , but there is still more work  to be done.

I am proud to be a part of this Goan Forum. Thanks to Eddie Fernandes ,
Eddie introduced me to this Forum in 1995 ? and I have been with the
forum since then , through all its ups and downs !  and I have , I hope
contributed towards its progress in some way ? Let us not forget that
behind every successful man there is a woman , and the woman behind
Eddie s  success is no other than Lira .Thank you both.

The launch of the Goan Voice is another great service Eddie and
Lira have given us on this net.

Fred Noronha is one who has e- mail addresses  in almost all the e-groups I
know of .
Thank you fred for your contribution to the Goanet and also to other nets
too.

George Pinto is another Goan who has made it HAPPEN
for the less fortunate in Goa .He is one Goan who has
supported theWorld Goa Day irrespective of the happenings.
Thank YoU George for believing in us.

Thanks  to Gaspar and Ully for their initial support on the idea
of World Goa Day , without their support I am not too sure
WORLD GOA DAY would be the success it is today. I look
forward to their support in the future., their support for a
better GOAN WORLD.

We should not forget Goans like Darryl ( Who belives in
Action rather than words)  He has done much for our Goan
schools, Goan Communities  and far beyond.

What would we do without our man in Goa - Joel , I am sure
many of us wait for our early morning breaking news from Goa.
Thank you Joel . Thanks to Goa Desc for their Community work ,
Thanks to the many other Goan NGO s not heard of nor even seen.

To all those who helped to make WORLD GOA DAY a success ,
I d like to say a BIG thank you. I am looking forward to the support
of many more Goans and Goan organistions this year.

I am very pleased to infrom you all  that The Goan Voice UK ,
Canada and USA have expressed their support for WORLD GOA DAY 2003 ,
and I take this opportunity of thanking these " Voices "

Thanks to all those who partcipated in the last WGD -
I am sorry I cannot name indvidual org.as space will not permit
to do so , but I will have the full list of participants etc displayed on
the web page at GOA Sudharop as soon as I get some volunteers to help
me design the web page at Goa Sudharop. * Any volunteers ?

As some of you may be aware , the Coordinators of the WGD 2003
have decided to dedicate the year 2003 as the year of " GIVING "
" Giving something back " to Goa and the Goan Community at large.

I am sure George Pinto will write more on the theme of *Giving * something
back very soon.

Another subject of great interest to many of the Young Goans worldwide
and to Eddie D Sa is the question of of our GOAN YOUTH
and Goan Identity. What do we plan to do ? Lets us ask OURSELVES ,
not others

Thank you members of this forum , thank you for being so
tolerant to all our postings whic have been made from time to time.
