STATE COUNCIL FOR INFO ACT RECONSTITUTED

The Goa government in a notification issued here yesterday
has re-constituted the state council for Right to Information
under the Goa Right to Information Act, 1997.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is the chairman of the council.
The members of the council include
MLAs Rajendra Arlekar and Damodar Naik Gomantak
Chief editor Sharad Karkhanis,
Economic Times correspondent Prakash Kamat,
Eminent writer Pundalik Naik,
Gomantak Times reporter Jyoti Dhond,
Dr Vikram Patel and
Heta Pandit from Porvorim.

The official members include
R Raghuraman, Secretary Information,
Krishnamurthy, secretary (GA),
V P Shetye, Secretary (Law),
Director of Information and Publicity (Rajesh Singh),
will be the member secretary of the council and
joint director of Information and Publicity (Menino Peres)
will be the special invitee of the council.
