numbers will be seven-digit 2XXXXXX (where XXXXXX is the old number).

     Historical Note - Seven Years Ago
     GOACOM was officially launched on the World Wide Web on November 18, 
1995.
     Dr. Wilfred de Souza, now the Goa's Chief Minister, was in London 
attending a fair promoting tourism in Goa.
     The Goa Internet Community in the UK, through the efforts of Eddie 
Fernandes, invited Dr. Wilfred to a
     presentation of the Internet at University College.

     The following is an excerpt from that presentation posted on GoaNet

     Dr. de Souza would like to send the following messages to Goa-Netters:
     It is indeed a pleasure to launch GOACOM  today. I trust this will be 
the beginning of Goa being on the Internet       so that Goans all over the 
world can communicate with each other through the fastest possible method.  
I'm thoroughly impressed by what the Goa Netters present have shown me. As I 
promised them I shall try to get a node in Goa as early as possible.
