The Arts Report

Closer ties between Hollywood North and Bollywood could be in the works, 
said Canada's natural resources minister.

Speaking in Bombay on a business development mission, Herb Dhaliwal 
announced a big-budget Indian film will be shot in Vancouver.

"We have an announcement by a very well-known producer, Mr. Vindu Chopra, 
that he will be doing a major film in Vancouver called 'The Fifth Move'," 
said Dhaliwal."We've been trying to encourage more Indian filmmakers to come 
to Vancouver."

Dhaliwal called the announcement "great for Vancouver and Canada."

The English-language suspense movie will cost $20 million.

Chopra has directed such Indian films as Kareeb and Mission Kashmir.

India's film industry is the largest in the world. Dhaliwal's six-day trade 
mission is aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
