Sacks... near St Annes

The other day, I was surprised to see huge piles of sacks collected near
St Anne's Chapel (close to Mario Mascarenhas/Muriel D'Souza's home).
When I enquired later, Mario told me that they were buying rice for
conversion into beer! Does anyone have details? FN
