We are aware of that Seby and are more than thankful for people 
like you who realise that we have a duty to pay back to the land 
and its 'gaonkars' who have nurtured us and helped to make us 
what we are today.  Besides contributing like this, we would 
also like to place on record that you are constantly sensitive 
to the employment needs of the village and the state.  You never 
miss an opportunity to send us job opportunities abroad.  On 
behalf of Saligao and Goa, thanks for all the young people whom 
you have directly or indirectly helped in finding job and career 
opportunities.

Good work is an understatement!  Sr. Lily is over burdened, and 
can be seen hard at work well out of office hours.  We have 
sometimes asked her who pays her overtime for all that extra 
labour of love.  Unfortunately, the present education system 
does not allow her, her congregation and the school staff to do 
more than teach our children how to read, write and count.  And 
we constantly wondering how to make education what it is 
*really* meant to be.

Sr. Livinia resides at the Mae de Deus home for the aged, run by 
their Sisters in Khotla.  She herself is aging steadily and is 
house bound because it is painful for her to walk long distances 
outdoors.  Will tell her you enquired.

Sr. Pushpa is the manager of the school and also the Provincial 
of this province of the Franciscan Missionaries Of Christ The 
King.

Thanks once again and much solidarity with your concern - and 
action - for Saligao and Goa.
