Dear Friends
When I say people in saligao are shortsighted it is true and annette has 
proved it right when she wrote without her glasses. What we need is a change 
in the modern setup. We just can't look at the computer and say why i need 
this. In the past I had to cope up with lots of mails and would postpone it 
for months and sometimes years together as a result I never reached out to 
anyone. Imagine writing to Dr.Suri , Luis, Dr.Richard  and annette to far 
corner of the globe and getting a reply sometimes immediately is 
marvellous.Now you get computers for just one and two thousand rupees. 
Cybergage scheme and so we cannot just stand in line at the post office to 
pay your bill like we did in 1990 when there was only BSNL dominating your 
village and you had to beg the dirty clerk to give you connection which 
would be postponed till you grease his palm and grease it thickly. Every 
Christmas we celebrate the Society day which is a programme of sing song etc 
etc. My daughter had just come the previous day of the programme and wanted 
to take part and the only thing she could do was to sing a song. She knew 
the tune of the song "Mogan aslea borem" from amchem Noxib but she did not 
have the words and she surprised me when she got the song from the net. My 
little son who is now in the eight standard did the job for her. Our 
children are exposed to the net and they gain lot of knowledge from that and 
the latest technology, is at your door and one cannot think of standing in 
que for paying our bills when the bank can do that. Today the banks are 
upgraded that if you have an account in Bank of India saligao, you can 
withdraw your money in any branch of bank of India even in Banglore and 
Bombay and now money can be withdrawn through ATM which is new to us in Goa 
but outdated in the gulf and so we have to upgrade ourselves instead of 
standing in the que and grumble that the post master is very slow, and that 
they have to spend hours and hours and that their legs pain and ache and 
they require move etc etc etc
