Tzu Ch'in(1) bertanya kepada Tzu Kung(1):

"Ke negeri mana pun Guru(2) bepergian, dia selalu menyimak kebijakan 
negeri itu. Apakah dia bertanya atau diberitahu ?"

Tzu Kung menjawab:

"Guru mempelajarinya dengan bersikap lembut, baik, hormat, rendah hati, 
dan menghargai. Rasa ingin tahu Guru berbeda dengan rasa ingin tahu 
orang lain."
