Dave, as a card-carrying Democrat I can wallow contentedly in this splendid 
diatribe, but in the spirit of fairness for which Our Party is justly 
famous I take issue with Keillor's gratuitous slap at Ronald Reagan.  No 
war hero, to be sure, but he joined the Army Reserve before Pearl Harbor 
and, when mobilized, served where he was assigned and where he was best 
qualified.  In that there is no dishonor.  What he did later, well, that's 
another matter.
