Maryland law currently allows victims to bring lawsuits until their 25th birthday. There is no time limit for criminal prosecutions of those who sexually abuse a child in Maryland. Under intense lobbying from the church, the bill was amended so the time extension does not apply to victims who are now 25 and older. As best as I can determine, however, the formal organization took place in the summer of 1981 -- not long after the March 30 almost-assassination of Ronald Reagan, after which George HW Bush was virtual President and Bush's "Octopus" network of Moonies/Arab terrorists/Nazis/Yakuza was active in the Iran-Contra, P2 in Europe, and in the Vatican.   Thus, there's something incongruous, or disingenuous, in the descriptions by Gary North and others ("outer circle" members) of the CNP's founding "in elation at Reagan's election," without any reference to the still-fresh memory of the attempted assassination of Reagan. The absence of any reaction is even stranger if the founding of the CNP occurred after the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II, reputedly by a "Communist conspiracy" --guaranteed to exarcerbate the paranoia of the John Birchers who were their coworkers-- because that, too, occurred in the same month when the agenda for the CNP was set.   All the more curious because the CNP was founded --in being funded-- by Nelson Bunker Hunt, who, two decades earlier, had paid for the inflammatory anti-Kennedy billboards in Dallas that set the mood for the assassination of John F Kennedy and is thought to have been, with his father HL Hunt, one of the masterminds of the assassination itself -- and the vice president who assumed the reins of government now during Reagan's incapacity was George HW Bush, likewise implicated in the JFK assassination (judging by an FBI memo dated November 22, 1963).  The same "Octopus" types had been present in 1963 as well, in orbit around HL Hunt and his Texas oil brethtren, the CIA's Howard Hunt (no relation), and the Mafia underworld of Miami protected and profited from by Republicans like Dick Nixon.   So, this raises some intriguing questions.  Was politically naive populist Ronald Reagan targeted for assassination by the same group that executed the Kennedy assassination, in the hopes of stirring up public outrage against an "Communist Conspiracy," to be blamed (as Castro was, unsuccessfully, for JFK's death) for the murder of America's president? The much-publicized "KGB plot" to kill the Pope would have lent credence to that claim. Reagan, however, "dodged the bullet" and survived the assassination attempt.  Was that an unforeseen, unintended result -- pulling the rug out from under an otherwise well-laid plan? Were Vice President George HW Bush's actions, temporarily assuming the powers of the presidency, not part of "Plan A" but more of a "clean-up" operation, as "damage control"?   After all, it was Nelson Bunker Hunt who, in partnership with his WACL friends and CIA covert ops pals, bankrolled a number of "Christian missionary" organizations that were in fact CIA fronts used for psychological warfare operations to shore up local dictatorships and, that failing, as conduits for mercenaries to systematically terrorize the native population. One of these "evangelical" groups funded by Nelson Bunker Hunt was "World Vision," which has an interesting record ...   World Vision ran the refugee camps where the CIA recruited Cubans for the Bay of Pigs fiasco. "Lone nut assassin" Lee Harvey Oswald worked with these groups. So did Claw Bertrand (Clay Shaw). Many of the people Jim Garrison investigated about the Kennedy assasination had been recruited at World Vision camps. World Vision had a lot to do with identifying targets for the Army's "Operation Phoenix" civilian assassination campaign in Vietnam. Still later, World Vision ran the refugee camps where the CIA recruited Nicaraguans and El Salvadoreans for the Contras. World Vision ran the [Sabra-Shabitilla] Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon where the Israeli controlled Phalangists massacred over 2000 women, children and elderly refugees.
