Re: ? on stoves

To all of you that replied, a big thanks. Your concerns, as to safety
and the guide to safe scouting are taken. I re-read that section and it
does not completely clarify this topic, so I will contact our local DE
and get his interpretation. I chuckled and cringed when I read part 2
"Operate and maintain according to manufacturer's instructions". I think
if we go thru with this endeavor, we'll call the adults the
manufacturer's, not the Cub Scouts :~} I didn't catch that when I read
it the first time when I was researching the idea of alcohol stoves. 
My own 2 boys and I made a crude Pepsi can stove and were quite
impressed with the results. Thanks again for the input and if you have
any further ideas, I'd like to hear them
