RE: Vapor Barrier shirt material?: msg#01298culture.backpacking.light
Even though I find few opportunities to use a VB due to lack of sufficiently low temperatures, I would recommend you consider STevensons Fuzzy Stuff material. It has a nice nap on the side that goes against your skin and is very comfortable. They make their VB shirts, pants and socks from it. I believe they will also sell the material. For those who use VB clothes, what material do you use? What temperature range do you normally use the clothes. I am looking to extend the range of my winter hiking by using VB clothes. I was thinking of using uncoated 1.1 oz nylon but thought it might not hold in enough humidity to work well. Thanks, Bryan |
