I don't like to quibble - but are you sure that isn't old info ?

Kodak says (on http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/faqs/faq1001d.shtml )

so Professional Photo CD should be exactly what you want - and it claims
they are scanned at this level, not interpolated. There appear to be lots
of places that do the Professional version, though I haven't contacted any
of them to verify that, simply looked at the Kodak site,
