Re: Tacoma Tarp: msg#01271culture.backpacking.light
I bought the Speed with the understanding that I could take it back for a cash refund. I bought it last week, filled it with all my stuff less food and water, and I have to admit it was really comfy. This was only 16.5 lbs total. I was gonna add 10+ more in food and water so I got a little worried. The pack is well thought out and I would have decided to keep it if (A) it had a little more capacity in the main compartment (B) had straps on the side for my sleeping pad (C) didn't feel so flimsy. I'm pretty rough on gear. So the pack is back at the outfitter and I have ordered the ULA. ----- Original Message ----- From: Matt Pulsts To: BackpackingLight-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 4:05 PM Subject: Re: [BackpackingLight] Tacoma Tarp Hey jimmy, why are you ditching the Golite Speed?
