Roger, > water into a canteen or other container. How many bladders have you ruined > with boiling water? I contacted Camelbak and MSR Corp this week, and both manufacturers claim their hyrdation products will withstand boiling-hot water (not boiling IN the bladder, but the addition of just-boiled water). > would be insulted by my unintentional poor choice of words. I think I was more disappointed than insulted. Disappointed at seeing someone claim that pump filters are the only reasonable solution, and that any user of a gravity feed, chemicals, or any other method of treatment must be crazy. There's just too many individual variables for any one method to be the only right one. I think it's probably more tactful to say "here's what works for me" and/or "I tried your method and here's why it didn't work for me" and leave it at that. > And please don't patronize me by referring to me as "My friend." Didn't think I was. I thought we were having a friendly difference of opinion. If my tone was too inflamatory, I apologize. -Clint |
