Subject: Re: Outdoorsmate in Colorado

Okay, I don't mean to start (or fan) a flame war, here (and this will
be my first and last message about this on this list), but at this
point (in my opinion), it's "cruzrguy" who's become the annoyance.

The messages from cruzrguy have become nothing more than a crusade
involving dogging another list member. I have no problem with you
pursuing that, but (again, in my opinion) there's no sense in your
doing it on the list. Further, the amount of energy you've devoted to
Dave and the amount of mail you've generated on this list about this
fellow is beginning to border on obsessive, and none of it has
anything to do with lightweight backpacking.

I'd venture to say that all of us have spotted spelling and
grammatical errors (and I know I've generated a few on my own), so
it's no longer necessary for them to be pointed out and derided.
Probably all of us have well-developed bullshit measuring devices as
well, and it's not necessary for me, anyway, to have you add your
candle of clarity to the light of the noonday sun.

My suggestion, and hope, will be that you take this issue "outside" at
this point, while continuing to contribute your knowledge and insight
concerning lightweight backpacking here.
