Dear Tink,
     I feel that are two distict type of individuals who fall under the autism lable.  And of course within each group, each person is intrinsically different just as we all are.
I believe the kids we often view as the most severe are the most normal in their emotions but have difficulty expressing it in the context of their physical bodies.  Temple Grandin would agree with this viewing herself in the opposite category.
