Hi Tink,
    I did attempt to connect with the kids in a semi quick meditation.   I or we just wrote it after reading yours and Brian's wonderful verses-just our attempt at continuing the dance so to speak.  Like Char I thought yours was free verse too. "Silence is golden, but my eyes still see reminded me of something Ben or one of the kids might say."  It was amazing the way you saw the bird and in turn were lead to those lyrics.  That is a great example of surrendering to the process.
